The beading workshop introduced the students and staff from HFK and from DUT to the basic beading techniques and materials used by Zulu bead workers. They were taught how to make a brooch based on the design of what is known as a Zulu love letter, using the 'brick' stitch, with a beaded tassel at the bottom. The workshop culminated in the production of an animation video which used beads.
